2022
Dear Chefsville Families and New Customers,

We are taking the multiple varients very seriously especially in our in-person programs. In cooking clubs, we do enforce social distancing. We do this anyway because in the cooking world, everyone should be shoulder’s length apart. Kids can do the chicken and flap their wings without hitting the people next to them.

Additionally, Chefsville instructors request that kids to step away from the tables. Nobody wants to feel the table shake when working with liquid measures or cutting utensils.

For masking, our instructors bring masks, currently N95, and many of the kids are also masked up.

Existing Chefsville instructors are vaccinated and boosted because we are educators.

As far as ingredients and equipment go, everything is cleaned both when checked out of our warehouse and while we are finished with it at the program sites.
Desks and surfaces are checked and wiped down with alcohol cleaner, COVID-19 cleaner when available before the students arrive at our program. If no cleaner is available, chef instructors wash the tables with soap & water, then dry prior to the program.

During the programs, if something gets dirty, it is washed immediately or within a few minutes along with hands.

We hope this update lets you know how seriously we take cleanliness and COVID protection in our programs.

Best Regards,

Chef Scott

2021
Dear Chefsville Families,

We hope that you and your loved ones are safe.

Because of the pandemic, Chefsville has been hit very hard. Chefsville is a year-round program. Dozens of our classes and school programs were canceled in the spring due to COVID-19. This has taken a toll on our operations.

Summer camp equipment, materials and supplies had already been ordered in January. Without the support of our summer camp families, Chefsville summer programming could be in serious danger. We are counting on the generosity and trust of the community who has valued the work we do. Please continue a little while longer and see us through this crisis.

Chefsville had 50-75% able to gather in person this past summer, 2021. Whether remotely or in-person, our mission remains the same: to connect cooking with family, community & academics. Especially in times of schools allowing for both in-person and remote learning, our work feels more important than ever.

Chefsville stated at registration time that there are no refunds after our program begins. We want to empathize as much as possible with our clients during these trying times. In this case, Chefsville has invested all financial resources in our cooking clubs and online programming. As we are sensitive and for consideration to our parents, if there are any changes, we will let you know.

Our cancellation policy remains the same: Because of the costs associated with program preparation and our non-profit operational expenses, please be advised that no refunds are granted for registration fees for cooking club programs. No refunds will be issued for early withdrawal, cancellations, absences, behavioral dismissals, power failures or other acts of nature.

Since our Summer Camps have been scheduled, awaiting facility approvals to go ahead, the following options are being offered:

– Participate in our virtual programming, we have new recipes, activities and various video formats including cook-alongs; credits will be given so that these programs are free until June 1st, 2020.
– Donate it as a tax deduction as we are a 501c3 tax-exempt organization

Credits can be used towards summer camps and online club sessions.

We are striving to be as transparent as possible while also doing what is best for our families and community.

As always, we are available if you have any specific questions. Please call us at (972) 800-5344 or send an email to Sarah@Chefsville.org. We will get back to you as soon as possible.

Thank you to all who have reached out to us during this challenging time. To everyone who has joined our online classes, we are immensely grateful for your support and affirmation. We are honored to serve our families and communities.

Please let us know if you have any questions, and we certainly hope to see you all online, until our camps start.
